Everything you see in a shot is important, nothing is there by chance. The direction of this man and his clarity to tell us what he has in his head is masterful. Besides that, the film has its history, at the time they were developing a part of the negatives, and an accident caused the loss of almost all the film, in the end, he got more budget and divided the film into two parts. I think that nowadays, cinema has accustomed us to the idea that it has to be fast, there is no time, let's run! Not here, with Tarkovsky you have to take the time to watch.... - Dani RC

It’s my favorite John Hughes movie and, in my opinion, one of the greatest comedies of all time… or at least top 10! There are plenty of Christmas movies out there but not a lot of thanksgiving themed holiday flicks so I like to watch it every year around that time. It’s become a yearly tradition of mine. Withnail and I has got to be my all-time favorite comedy film. But, I must warn you: it’s a bit dark. Set in 1969 England, the movie centers on two failing actors, hopeless alcoholics/junkies living together in poverty in a filthy flat in London. It’s a horrifying and all-too-real depiction of addiction in its own way, but also one of those rare films that does something funny every 5 seconds, and every joke lands. And it's gotta be one of the most quotable movies of all time. - Nick M

When i was 20 or so, i started doing my first DJ gigs in Europe and this movie kept getting mentioned…wherever i went, this movie from 10 years earlier was being brought up as a must-watch. It’s solidly in the “around the neighborhood” genre like some other personal favorites like Do The Right Thing, Mean Streats, & i Vitelloni. Most of the time when I bring it up in the states, i’m met with blank stares so continuing my mission to push this great flick! -Gabe MA
