Accessibility at Cave 76
Last updated: November 5, 2025
Cave 76 is committed to making cave76.tv and all of our media accessible to everyone. We design and build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA and strive to go beyond minimum requirements wherever possible.
Quick summary (plain language)
We’re working to make our site easy to use for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, transcripts, and high‑contrast settings.
If something doesn’t work for you, please tell us and we’ll fix it.
You can reach us at hello@cave76.tv or via our contact form. If you prefer phone, we can arrange a call by email request.
Our standards & approach
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA and relevant U.S. requirements (including Section 508). Our process includes:
Accessible-by-default design: Color contrast, focus states, readable type, motion sensitivity, and form semantics are addressed during design.
Semantic HTML: Proper landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), headings (H1–H6), lists, and labels.
Keyboard operability: All interactive components are reachable and usable via keyboard with visible focus.
Assistive tech testing: Spot checks with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) and automated tooling (axe, WAVE, Lighthouse).
Continuous improvement: We review new templates and major pages before and after publishing.
What you can expect on cave76.tv
Text alternatives: Images and icons include descriptive alt text where they convey meaning.
Headings & landmarks: Pages use logical heading order and ARIA landmarks to support navigation.
Keyboard navigation: Skip links, logical tab order, and clear focus indicators are provided.
Color & contrast: We target a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for text (3:1 for large text).
Resizable text: Content supports zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality.
Captions & transcripts: Videos include captions; transcripts are provided or available upon request.
Motion & animation: We respect system preferences for reduced motion and avoid flashing content.
Forms: Labels, instructions, error messages, and inline validation are programmatically associated.
Using the site with assistive technologies
Screen readers: We test with NVDA and JAWS on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS/iOS. We use descriptive link text (avoiding “click here”) and provide ARIA roles/states where needed.
Keyboard tips: Use
Tab/Shift+Tabto move between interactive elements,EnterorSpaceto activate buttons/links, andEscto dismiss dialogs.Headings: You can navigate by headings (e.g., using
Hin many screen readers) because we maintain a consistent hierarchy.Skip links: A Skip to main content link appears at the top when tabbing.
Video & media accessibility
Captions: We provide closed captions for videos we publish. If you find a video without captions, please report it so we can correct it promptly.
Transcripts: Narrative/transcript files are provided for long‑form pieces or available by request.
Audio description: For films where visual context is essential, audio description tracks may be available or can be produced upon request.
Third-party players: We often embed players like Vimeo or YouTube. While we configure these for accessibility, their controls/behavior are provided by the third party.
Known limitations & third‑party content
Some content on our site may be provided by third parties (e.g., social embeds, map widgets, or legacy media). While we select accessible tools and configure them carefully, certain aspects may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. When issues are identified, we provide workarounds (e.g., direct links, transcripts) or alternative content on request.
Feedback & help
Your experience guides our improvements. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please include details like the page URL, the assistive tech/browser you’re using, and what didn’t work.

Compatibility & supported environments
We target current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack). If you experience issues on an older browser or device, please let us know so we can help or provide an alternative.
Ongoing monitoring
Automated tests: Periodic scans for color contrast, roles/states, and keyboard traps.
Manual tests: Keyboard‑only walkthroughs, screen‑reader spot checks, and form usability checks.
Release reviews: New components/templates are reviewed for accessibility before launch.
