Bringing Banana Boat's Vision to Life
When Blue Wheel Media approached us about Banana Boat's spring/summer campaign, the brief was clear: they needed a "boat load" of deliverables that would work across multiple platforms while staying true to the brand's distinctive, hyper-stylized aesthetic.
The Challenge
Banana Boat had carefully crafted brand visuals that needed to translate perfectly from concept to camera. Our job was to recreate that specific look almost verbatim on a soundstage, then capture enough content to fuel their entire multi-platform campaign—from social media to broadcast and everything in between.
Choreographed Production
We took over two stages at Gum Studios, running video and stills units in tandem. The setup allowed us to move between sets like a choreographed dance—while one team captured motion content, the other focused on photography, maximizing our time and output without sacrificing quality.
Building summer in the middle of January meant creating every detail from scratch. Each set was designed to make Banana Boat's signature colors vibrant and true to the brand's visual identity. We structured each setup to capture multiple orientations and aspect ratios simultaneously, ensuring we could deliver everything from vertical social content to horizontal broadcast spots.
The Result
The campaign delivered exactly what Banana Boat needed: cohesive visual storytelling that worked seamlessly across their entire spring/summer marketing push. Every deliverable maintained the brand's distinctive aesthetic while serving its specific platform purpose…proving that smart production planning and attention to detail can deliver both scale and consistency.
